Measuring and Constructing Angles

Language

Learning goal: Students will learn about vowel diagraphs "au" and "aw" (Lesson 21)

Students wrote their spelling words in their agendas and started to work on lesson activities.

Next, we read chapter 3 of Door in the Wall. We worked on a comparison chart of the Middle Ages and Present time and answered some comprehension questions.

Homework: Spelling test signed and corrected. Spelling Lesson 21.

Math

Learning goal: Students will learn how to measure and construct angles.

We looked at examples on pg. 84 and 85 and students worked on pg. 86 and 87 questions 1, 2, and 4.

Students learned how to use a protractor, how to measure angles and also identify angles. These angles included acute angle (less than 90 degrees); right angle (is 90 degrees); obtuse angle (between 90 and 180 degrees).

Homework: Math sheet
