Continue Religion Summative Presentations

Today, students worked on finishing up their summatives so that everyone could present their project. Students also worked on completing the good copy of the speech.

Students will be taking home the good copy of their speeches this weekend, so they can start to practice memorizing them. We will be starting our in-class speech recital attempts starting next week. We hope to have 3 attempts next week for everyone to practice in front of the class. Students will try their best to memorize as much they can for the weekend and continue during the week.

While they are practicing at home, they should remember not to rush, include expression and small gestures if they would like. Students may use their speech as reference when presenting in front of the class, but should slowly try their best not to rely on their sheets.

Lastly, if your child has chosen to type their speech, please email me a copy over the weekend, so I can have one on file.

Thank you. Have a great weekend!

Math

We looked at examples on pg. 139-141 and students worked on pg. 131 questions 1-4.

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),

This email is to inform you that we experienced an unexpected fire alarm this morning in the building. SJA staff did an amazing job evacuating the students safely and in a timely fashion from the building. Students were outside for ten minutes waiting in line while we followed proper protocol to ensure every child was accounted for. At this time, we then made our way over to Meadowvale rinks to have shelter from the cold. Once the fire department gave the go ahead we returned back to the building. There is no need for alarm or concern the building and students are safe and secure.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me, Mrs. Smith at bsmith@stjudesacademy.com or Mrs. Hocevar at hhocevar@stjudesacademy.com.
