Students decided on what their 2nd Frindle activity would be and practiced for the student-led conferences.

Homework: Frindle Activity #2 due Wed, April 11

Math

Learning goal: Students will learn about congruent figures (lesson 3) and lines of symmetry (lesson 4)

We looked at examples on pg. 235 and 236 and students worked on pg. 235 questions 1, 2, 5. We also looked at examples on pg. 241 and 242 and students worked on pg. 242 questions 1 and 3. If students finished their work early in class, they were allowed to start their homework.

Homework: Math Sheets (lesson 3 and 4). Math test Tues, April 10.

UOI

Learning goal: Students will explore minerals.

Students read and answer questions regarding minerals. We watched a video describing what minerals are and discussed examples such as: previous stones and gemstones-- rubies, diamonds, emeralds, metals (gold, silver, copper, lead, iron, zinc). Minerals need to be naturally occurring, not made of or come from living things, exists as a solid state on earth, and has a distinct formula makeup.

Homework: Bring devices tomorrow and Friday
