We had a fun-filled morning working on a class Scavenger Hunt to get the know the class as we have some old and new friends! We learned a lot about each other from the activity!
Next, students went to gym and had French class in our classroom with Madame Carol.
In the afternoon, I was able to learn more about the students through an "All About Me Survey". We also had time to share with the class. Next, we made hand cutouts and students put their name in the middle of the hand and wrote five characteristics about them on each finger. It's now displayed on our class door!
The next activity was a chain activity where we discussed what students can do really well. After a brief discussion about some of the students' talents, they wrote down five things they do well on a piece of paper of different colours and then created a mini paper chain with the strips. Students held the growing chain as it was being linked. We discussed what the chain demonstrates-- all the students in our class have talents and if we work together, we can accomplish anything. The class is stronger when students work together and it reminds us of the various talents we have and the benefits of teamwork.
First house game of the year! Winner was Kappa!
