Oakwood Kindness Day

Oakwood Kindness Day

Students added to the Oakwood Kindness Day tree!

Language

Learning goal: Students learned about consonant digraphs (Lesson 10).

We spoke about the Lock down procedure during the Language period, therefore students didn't get a full period to work on their Spelling lesson 10. However, if they finished their math test early they had a chance to work on it during class.

Homework: Complete Lesson 10 for tomorrow. Write spelling words in the agenda.

Math

Students wrote their Unit 6 math test.

UOI

Learning goal: Students will learn about transparent, translucent, and opaque light.

Students watched two videos on light. The first was about the differences between transparent, translucent, and opaque light. We wrote a definition of each on the board and students had to provide examples. The second video was about why we can't see in the dark. Students learned that we see things because light reflects and the reflected light is what becomes a mirror image in our eyes.
