We started with a lesson on compound sentences. Students were given examples of compound sentences and had to identify to use "and, or, but" to connect sentences together. After we continued with OWA report practice. Students were given an information sheet on the snowy owl. They had to come up with 3 questions related to the snowy owl and answer it in point form. Students learned the important points on how to write an introduction paragraph, 3 body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
Math
Learning goal: Students will work on the Show What You Know task in the math textbook.
Students worked through the Show What You Know questions on page 74 in their math notebooks.
Homework: Page 74 questions 1-9. Word problem sheet for extra practice.
UOI
Learning goal: Students will work on their summative assignment.
Today was the last day for students to complete their summative project. Groups 1 and 4 will be presenting tomorrow and Groups 2 and 3 presenting on Friday.
