Learning goal: Students will learn about beginning consonant blends.
Students read the story on pg. 21 and the TIP on pg 22. We looked at examples of consonant blends and discussed what they are. Students wrote the words in their agenda and then started to complete Lesson 5 activities.
Homework: Spelling test signed and corrections made for tomorrow. Spelling Lesson 5 due tomorrow. Raz kids once a week.
Math
Learning goal: Students will use patterns to multiply with multiples of 10.
We looked at examples together on pg. 52 and students completed practice page 53 questions 1 and 4. Students learned the strategy of multiplying numbers on its own without the zeros, and then adding the number of zeros in the question to the final answer.
Homework: Pg. 53 questions 2 and 3.

Learning goal: Students will start to work on their summative project.
Students used the information they brought from their research over the weekend and worked in their groups to highlight important information and fill in the information templates in their package. We will be finishing up this step tomorrow in class.
